  • 1 14.5 ounce can can chickpeas, drained
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons capers drained
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • 1 pound angel hair
  • 24 ounces water
  • 1 ½ cups crumbled feta cheese (omit if vegan)
  • ½ cup pitted kalamata olives
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley


  • Add all the ingredients except for the feta and olives to large skillet, pot, being sure that the angel hair is submerged in liquid.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer covered for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente. Be sure not to overcook or the angel hair will get mushy. (If you use spaghetti or a thicker pasta, you will need to simmer it longer.)
  • Stir in the feta and olives and garish with parsley (optional)
  • Serve immediately.
