*This recipe is extra special to me because it is dedicated to my dear friend who had a long and torturous battle with cancer. She was unable to eat solid for for more than years, and she requested peanut butter mousse. I created this recipe for her, and it will live here on my blog to honor her. I hope that you love this recipe as much as she did!

  • 1 cup creamy unsweetened peanut butter
  • 2 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup + 4 tbsp heavy cream
  • 3 Tbsp powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • For garnish: 3 tbsp shaved chocolate (you can use a vegetable peeler)


  • In the bowl of a mixer or with a hand-mixer, whip the peanut butter, cream cheese, vanilla, 4 tbsp heavy cream, powdered sugar and salt to a mixer bowl. Whip until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture gently to maintain the air which keeps the mousse light and fluffy.
  • Pipe the mousse into small glasses or cups and top with a few chocolate curls.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
