This keto meal is so simple and flavorful. First start by making the blackening seasoning (or using one you already have) and then it is just a matter of seasoning the salmon and string beans and popping them in the air fryer. Seriously—this meal is that simple. Serve this meal as-is or with any sides of your choice – Keto- or not! Ingredients
For the Blackening Seasoning:
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp thyme
- ½ tsp oregano
- ¼ tsp cayenne
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
For the Salmon & String Beans:
- 1 lb string beans
- 1 lb salmon, cut into 4 oz portions
- 1 tbsp +1 tsp melted ghee, coconut oil or olive oil
- 1 heaping tbsp blackening seasoning
- ¾ tsp sea salt, divided
Instructions
(Air-Fryer)
- Make your blackening seasoning by combining all the spices in a small bowl. You will have extra, so store whatever you don’t use later in an airtight container.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
- On the baking pan, toss the string beans with 1 tbsp melted ghee. Sprinkled with ½ tsp sea salt.
- Place a piece of foil on the counter and place the air fryer basket on top (this will catch the extra seasoning). Place the salmon portions on the basket and season generously with blackening seasoning, being sure to get the seasoning on the top as well as the sides.
- Drizzle with 1 tsp ghee and season with ¼ tsp sea salt.
- Place the string beans above the salmon in the air fryer and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the string beans, and leave the salmon for another 3-5 minutes depending on how you like your salmon cooked.
