Season both sides of chicken with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken in skillet with the smooth side down.
Press down lightly with a spatula or tongs. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the chicken is golden and crispy.
Turn and press lightly to ensure all parts of the chicken are touching the pan. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until cooked through.
Add butter and garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until garlic is slightly golden- not browned.
Add broth, then turn up heat. Stir and use a spatula to scrape the golden bits stuck on the skillet.
Simmer for about 1 minute or until the liquid is reduced by half.
Remove from heat. Drizzle the sauce over the chicken and serve with your choice of sides!
