Sheet Pan Chicken Shawarma + Yogurt Garlic Sauce is incredibly easy and quick to clean up, but will taste like you spend hours cooking! This meal comes together in a few easy steps and is bold and flavorful. I like to serve this family style with pita bread or my naan, rice, salad and a delicious garlic yogurt sauce that has a little kick. If you are doing Keto, you can omit the bread or rice and eat as is!

Garlic-Cilantro Sheet Pan Chicken

For the Chicken:

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut in strips
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced on microplane
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 pieces of pita bread or Naan (optional)
  • Lettuce, chopped
  • Optional: Sliced pepper, diced cucumbers, crumbled feta cheese

For the Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ serrano finely minced (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt


  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, crushed red pepper and salt. Mix until everything is combined.
  • Place the chicken in the bowl, and mix thoroughly to coat the spice mixture onto the chicken.
  • Spread the chicken onto the prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the edges begin to caramelize.
  • While the chicken is in the oven, prepare the sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Remove from the oven and assemble.
  • Place lettuce in each pita or on top of a piece of Naan. Top with chicken and your choice of toppings. Drizzle with garlic yogurt sauce.
